About Kimberly
“This world is but a canvas to our imagination.” ~ Henry David Thoreau
Kimberlys’ Personal Life:
Kimberly and her husband live on their family ranch in Central Texas. They have five grown children, collectively, who live throughout the country. In Kimberlys’ spare time, she loves to spend time with her horses, cattle, goats, dog, cats and her favorite donkey, Pearl. You’ll often see Kimberly and her husband supporting the local FFA and 4H chapters, or attending local livestock shows, rodeos & sporting events. A good hike, a day on their pontoon, or time in the garden are also things she enjoys when she’s not creating.
Kimberly has a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design and designed hundreds of residential model homes for builders Nationwide for a few decades. After retiring from design, she unintentionally fell in love with photography while trying to capture images to replicate into her paintings. Photography surprisingly sparked a whole new creative outlet for her. That interest turned into a very successful photography career which she still operates today alongside her art.
Kimberlys’ Art:
Kimberly is an avid artist. She has been blessed with a creative hand since childhood following in her mothers’ footsteps. Kimberly primarily works in oils, acrylics, pastels, drawing and sculpture. She works on commission but also creates her own pieces to sell. Her art varies from weddings, portraits, westerns, equine, livestock, religious, landscapes & still life’s. Kimberly grew up on a ranch raising and showing livestock and horses. Agriculture is in her blood so naturally it comes out in many of her works.
To prevent burn out, Kimberly likes to stay diversified in her work. For this reason, you’ll see some of her fine art originals in galleries, yet you will also find her teaching classes or providing live painting at weddings.
Kimberlys’ Artistic Style:
Kimberlys’ artistic style is self-proclaimed as loose realism. Kimberly is fond of deep, natural colors replicating the photographs that she captures.
